The calendar is fixed. Deadlines are final; the submission system closes automatically at the stated time.

Every project is scored by at least three judges against criteria published in advance.
Finalist teams are announced, and venue and travel details are shared with them.
Finalists present their projects to the jury and the Canton ecosystem in Istanbul. Winners are announced the same day.
The categories follow the main areas of the Canton ecosystem. You pick the categories you are interested in when you apply and choose your final category when you submit your project.

Every project is scored out of 100 by at least three judges using the criteria below. Scores and jury comments are published with the results.

The winner of each category receives a cash prize.
Sponsors give special awards to the best projects in their areas.
Strong projects receive guidance on applying for a Canton Foundation grant.

Finalists meet in Istanbul for one day: demos, on-stage pitches, the awards ceremony and networking. The final is streamed live so it can be watched from anywhere in the world. Venue and travel details are shared with the finalists.
